observations for today
i don't think a lot of people know i used to go to a lot of raves - i love to dance and happy hardcore was my favourite rave tunes -
tonight i heard my ultimate happy hardcore track - Wonderful Days by Charlie Lownoise and Mental Theo
i absolutely love this.
the lyrics are quite sad but just the upbeat mood lifts me up and makes me smile everytime i hear this song.
and today, it was just apt to listen to it.
there has been a lot of wonderful days that i've just taken for granted because i've been looking at the past.. not the now.. not the future - and it has taken me this long to remember this one thought "Don't let your past dictate who you are, but let it be part of who you will become"
my life is really great right now and i know i can't have everything - time will come for me to be content in every way.
in the meantime i hope everyone is not missing out on the little details that makes life worth living.
to ponder oni don't say it all the time but i love you.
i love you guys - my rock, my 3 am friend, my devils advocate, my party animal, my reality check, my bff, my sister, my mother, my brothers, my kindred spirits... even the one that smiles at me while i'm walking down the road.
life is fuckin good and too short to wallow on the little things that makes us sad.
happiness is a choice :)
here's my fave picker upper song - born slippy by underworld, if you've seen the movie trainspotting, then you'll understand why this is such a triumphant song for me.
