the basement is one of the best live music clubs i've been to. i was glad i decided to go out and check out this place that night). i was lucky enough to see this wonderful band called the cat empire love this band - how can i describe it - it's a wonderful cross between the spirit of jazz, but has the feistiness of latin, the groove of ska and the mystique of the gypsy. if you ask them what they play.. one would say... "we say something like "reggaefied, cubanised, gypsyfied, dubby, new school, old school, funky, sambarised, jazzy, earthy, organic, spontaneous, hip-hopping sound" or just "mad Australian music". watch out for these guys... might i add, they're quite talented hoochies.. who made me dance and shook that bootie! |

i got carried away with my new cam, so i decided to take a video clip of how i felt, what i heard, the sensous beats of the percussions, next thing you know i was spiralling, lost in my senses. feel the beat... see what i felt. this is what i call the dancing light vid clip. observe. |
